Important Notice

n          If resedence address changes, the international students should register it at local police station and go through procedure for Residence Permit change at the Exit-Entry Bureau of Shanghai Police Station within 10 days after the change

n          Visa and Residence Permit extension shall be applied one month before expiration

n          Visa arrangement for trip out of mainland China: leave application should be submit to the pertinent school/college; “F” visa holder should present to ISO the approved leave application and ask for Application Letter to apply for an additional entry; anyone who leave without approval will not be offered study visa any more; ISO will not assist in applying for additional entry for travel within a term;

n          Travelling to not-open area of China should be firstly approved by local police station

n          All credentials shall not be altered or damaged. Loss of credentials shall be reported properly and reapplied.

n          ISO will provide Application Letter for the travel “L” visa application for parents, spouse and children, and no such letter will be offered to non-direct relatives. This “L” visa can be extended twice for half year the longest for each time and will not be valid after the expiration date of the residence permit of the student.

n          Safety

Shanghai is a city with good comments on its safety. However there are still several reminders for international students:

a.       It is highly recommended that you keep your valuable articles at safe place. Do not bring too much cash with you.

b.       Please abide by the traffic codes.

c.       Lock the door and ensure the power/gas switch is turned off before you leave to avoid any accident
