Shanghai Government Scholarship
（SGS, 1+4 Cultivation Mode , 1-year Pre-school plus 4-year Undergraduate Program）:
1st April 2026 to 15th April 2026;
The Shanghai International Student Pre-College (hereinafter referred to as the Pre-College, SISP) is an international preparatory education institution established by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and operated by Shanghai Normal University for its daily educational activities.
The Preparatory College utilizes the faculty, disciplinary strengths, and educational resources of Shanghai Normal University, while also incorporating the models and experiences from the Chinese government scholarship program for undergraduate preparatory education. It has crafted teaching and management plans specifically designed for preparatory students, enabling them to meet the essential standards necessary for admission into Chinese higher education institutions for specialized studies in areas such as Chinese language proficiency, relevant professional knowledge, and cross-cultural communication skills.
【Application Prerequisites】
1. Applicants must be foreign nationals.
2. Applicants must fall within the age range of 17 to 23；
3. Applicants are expected to have clearly defined learning objectives and a positive attitude, be in good physical health, and maintain a friendly disposition toward China.
4. Candidates should possess outstanding academic performance in high school, along with a HSK Level 3 certificate.

When submitting your 1+4 application, you must possess a valid and accredited HSK Level 3 certificate. This certificate serves as proof of your proficiency in the Chinese language at an intermediate level, which is essential for completing the required application process. Otherwise the application will be rejected.
