【Dear applicant】

To apply for master/doctorate programs at USST, please get the Supervisor Acceptance Letter with following steps:

Step1. Get Supervisors’ information (like research field, contacts, etc) at the website: iso.usst.edu.cn.

Step2. Fill out Applicant Information PROPERLY. 

Step3. Send it to your prospective Supervisor with supplementary documents by e-mail. Got the reply and the scanned version accordingly.

Step4. Double-check the details of the Form(USST Supervisor Information!!), Especially the contacts information(landline, email or phone number) and Medium of Instruction (Delivered in Chinese or English)

Then, Upload the Supervisor Acceptance Letter with signature to our system and send the carbon copy to International Students Office（MR.ZHANG）for the purpose of censorship on the campus.

Note:

①The language of instruction is divided into two options: Language of Personal Guidance by the Supervisor and Language of Instruction for the Major.

②The Language of Personal Guidance by the Supervisor can be selected as a single option or multiple options, and it is NOT related to the applicant's HSK level requirements.

③The “Language of Instruction for the Major” is confirmed by the discipline leader or the Graduate Academic Office of the respective college based on the “Cultivation plan” of the college and the actual situation of English-taught courses. If the applied first-level discipline/major is “Chinese-taught,” the applicant must meet the HSK Level 4 requirement (180 points or above); if the applied first-level discipline/major is “English-taught,” the applicant must provide IELTS/TOEFL proof or a Certificate of English Instruction issued during their previous academic period.

④For applicants at the Master's and Doctorate levels, the Major should be filled in as first-level discipline and should not include sub-directions.
