ShanghaiCollege of International Education provides international education services,Chinese courses and cultural exchange programs to students from overseas. SCIE Chinese programs includes Chinesecourse preparing for degree program study,intensive Chinese course,short term Chinese course, study tour and HSK test preparation course, etc.There are different levels of classes which meet the needs of students. There are 20 hours of compulsory courses eachweek.  The classes are interactive andenjoyable.

     ShanghaiCollege of International Education has actively done research on Chineselanguage teaching and successfully invents its teaching method. The teachingmethod gives way to new practice including emphasis on oral Chinese,student-orientation, pertinent to practical communication needs.  Most direct and effective teaching methodsare used to give chance to Chinese language communication in a short time afterthe students acquaint themselves with Pinyin and have merely basic knowledge ofmorphology and syntax. Afterwards,according to each student’s interest, special reading method will be used toteach them how to grasp the most basic and commonly used words. Thus thestudent will overcome the fear and go on learning with great sense ofachievement and makeimprovement in “listening, speaking, reading andwriting” . As a result, they could pass the HSK test. Some of the international students can passHSK5 inone academic year.
