On December 26th, 2014 international students’ New Year party of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology was held in the American cultural center and German cultural center. Students from abroad, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and volunteers gathered together to greet the New Year. Ma Xiaoting, Director of International Affairs Office and Deputy Director Jin Xiaodong attended the party and extended their New Year greetings to everyone.
Six joyous games spurred everyone's enthusiasm and created a cheerful atmosphere. At the end of the games, a dance performance with "The Fox (What Does the Fox Say)" as background music kicked off the party. Students showed their talents by singing both Chinese and foreign songs and soon pushed the party to a climax. Furthermore, all kinds of performances won the audience's thunderous applause again and again, including dancing and singing mix "Last Christmas", piano performing, solo "Beat" and the chorus "All I Want For Christmas Is you".
Lasting for over two hours, the New Year's party came to an end in festal dancing and singing. Students and teachers from home and abroad formed a circle with hands holding, and posed for group photos, which implying success and perfection. The joy of greeting a new year and the wish for a better year overwhelmed everyone’s heart.
