Shanghai Announces Eight Anti-COVID-19 Measures to Those Coming or Returning to Shanghai in the Winter and Spring
According to the latest update from the Office of Shanghai Municipal Leading Group on Preventing and Controlling COVID-19 (January 13, 2021), the Shanghai Municipality hereby announces the following eight anti-COVID-19 measures to those coming or returning to the city in the winter and spring to further strengthen the disease prevention and control in the two seasons and manage the health of these people:
1. We recommend no leaving Shanghai or the country unless you are returning to hometown or making the really necessary business trips. We encourage your stay in Shanghai for the Spring Festival holiday to minimize the flow of people.
2. Those staying in the medium-or high-risk regions in China should postpone their schedules to come to Shanghai at present and may come or return in case the regions lower their risk levels.
3. All those coming or returning to Shanghai from the medium- or high-risk regions in China, or from the prefecture-level cities (districts) that have these regions, shall report to their residents’ committees, villagers' committees, and organizations (or hotels they live in) as soon as possible within 12 hours upon arrival in Shanghai. Category-based measures will be taken according to the risk levels of your places of departure and stops.
4.All those coming or returning to Shanghai from or by way of the high-risk regions in China, or from or by way of the counties (districts or cities) that have these regions, or from or by way of the regions undergoing full closure management as required by local governments, shall follow the rule of 14-day centralized quarantine for health observation and accept two rounds of nucleic acid test for COVID-19.
5. All those coming or returning to Shanghai from or by way of the medium-risk regions in China, or from or by way of the counties (districts or cities) that have these regions, shall strictly follow the rule of 14-day community health management and accept two rounds of nucleic acid test for COVID-19.
6. All passenger transportation terminals (stations) such as airports, bus/train stations and wharfs will enhance checks on the body temperatures and health codes of those coming or returning to Shanghai.
7. All residents’ committees, villagers' committees, organizations, schools and hotels will enhance checks on the body temperatures and health codes of those coming or returning to Shanghai. 8. The above measures come into force as from the date of its announcement until March 31, 2021. Shanghai will timely adjust these measures and their valid term in light of the COVID-19 development at home and abroad. |
