Dear 2024 Intake,
To enhance the branding of Study in China, Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China recently completed the upgrade and transformation of the national information system for foreign students studying in China (referred to as the information system). The information system was officially launched on November 20, 2023 (website: http://login.studyinchina.edu.cn/ins.jsp).
Starting from November 20, 2023, the Visa Application Form for Foreigners Studying in China has been renamed as the Confirmation Form for Study in China (English name: Confirmation Form for Study in China, still abbreviated as JW201/202 form), with the validity period extended to 6 months from the date of issue.
Please include the Information Form for Foreign Students' Short-term Visit (DQ form) for the purpose of reviewing information and applying for X2 visas for short-term visits to China.
At the same time, the process of electronically certifying JW201/202 forms will be fully implemented, allowing the entire process to be completed online. The physical version of JW201/202 forms will no longer be accepted. Any paper versions issued after November 20, 2023, will be invalid, and Chinese visa authorities abroad will no longer accept them.
Foreign students can verify the related electronic certifications on the Study in China website (www.studyinchina.edu.cn) and can independently download and print them. Relevant institutions can verify the authenticity of the electronic certifications online.
NB.
1. It is recommended to use a PC for this operation.
2. Each electronic certification can be downloaded up to 10 times, please avoid repetitive downloads.
