2025 INTAKE APPLICATION FULL PROCEDURE
International student applicants shall log in to the USST International Student Service Platform (https://usst.at0086.cn/Student) or the official website of CSC Application Portal (Type-B) (www.campuschina.org) during the application season to submit the required application materials for various programs, according to specific guidelines.

*After submitting the application, applicants should monitor the reserved email on the platform (it is recommended not to use QQ or Gmail addresses) within 7-14 days for any updates.
*Additionally, regularly log into the USST International Student Service Platform or Study in China portal to check the application progress and status, as well as to check for updates on relevant materials, submission of materials, registration fee payment reminders, and notifications regarding online interviews.
*The International Students Office (ISO) will conduct an initial assessment of the application materials. If the materials do not meet initial requirements, the ISO will process the individual application in our university's application portal by either returning for material completion or rejecting the application. *During the review stage, if there is a need to complete or update materials, please do so within three working days upon receiving notification via internal message or email.
*The university will send information regarding WeChat groups through the USST International Student Service Platform (https://usst.at0086.cn/Student) and official email (fso@usst.edu.cn). This communication aims to invite applicants to join the 2025 USST Intake Consultation Group for daily inquiries and follow-up online guidance. (Please exercise caution and rely only on official communications for accurate information!)
*For Master's and Doctorate candidates, the ISO will verify the authenticity of the Supervisor Acceptance Letter submitted by applicants.
*ISO will confirm with the supervisor regarding the instruction language, and academic background. *Additionally, ISO will reconfirm the first-level discipline and the teaching language.
For candidates under the Scholarship Program/Category, the ISO will convene a review meeting for the Government Scholarship Evaluation Panel for Foreign Students. This panel will be chaired by a university VP responsible for international exchanges and will include members from the International Affairs Office, the Teaching Affairs Office, the Graduate School, and Hujiang College. The panel will evaluate and vote on-site to select candidates for the government scholarship, granting the ISO authority to manage the follow-up admission process for 2025 scholarship students.
For candidates under the Self-supporting Program/Category, the ISO will convene a review meeting for the Evaluation Panel for self-supporting intake. This panel will also be chaired by a university VP responsible for international exchanges and will consist of members from the International Affairs Office, the Teaching Affairs Office, the Graduate School, and Hujiang College. The Panel authorizes the ISO to oversee the admission procedure for 2025 international intake.
*For the list of admitted 2025 intake, the Undergraduate Freshman List and the Graduate Freshman List will be sent separately to the university's Teaching Affairs Office and the Graduate School.
*This action will ease major/discipline confirmation, supervisor matching, student ID number assignment, and the Welink account information, etc
Admitted international intake will receive two emails at their reserved email addresses:
① [USST] Admission Notice + visa electronic documents + preparation materials for traveling to China (Admission E-package).
② Notification Regarding Your Confirmation Form for Study in China Download (Notification for downloading the Confirmation Form for Foreign Students). (E-JW202 / E-DQ FORM)
*Admitted international freshmen shall utilize the admission materials (step 7 ① and ②) to apply for an X Visa for studying at the Chinese consulate or embassy (Visa Center).
*Once the visa is successfully arranged, you can begin preparing for your trip to Shanghai.
*They need to engage in the 2025 Intake qualification review, original document verification, enrollment procedures, orientation, health examination, application for residence permit (RP), and course selection for intake, all of which will occur in early September of the current year.
NB.
①After submitting your application successfully, you will receive a confirmation email from the USST Application Portal (https://usst.at0086.cn/Student).
②Upon receipt of your application documents and interview, we will give you either an unconditional offer, conditional offer or rejection letter based on your academic qualification. Make sure to check your email inbox on a regular basis.
③If you are given a conditional offer, you should provide other required documents or qualifications FIRST as mentioned in the offer in order to guarantee your place at USST. Then, please pay a non-refundable deposit of RMB 800.
④If you are given an unconditional offer, you are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of RMB 800(Via Wechat Payment or Bank Transfer as instructed) to secure your place at USST.
⑤Upon receipt of the deposit(non-refundable, REGISTRATION FEE), we will start the official procedure of the Admission Letter and a Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) form for you to apply for your student visa(Type X). It usually takes 7-14 working days for us to process your application and prepare an offer.
