12. Is the HSK Level 4 Chinese Proficiency Proof mandatory for SGS application?

The basic requirements for the application must be met first in order to be eligible for the scholarship. One of the fundamental requirements for the scholarship is to provide the corresponding language certificate based on the language of instruction (Majors in Chinese medium), which is a necessary condition for the application. Without the appropriate language certificate, one cannot participate in the 2025 scholarship review committee's evaluation.

13. Will the Chinese language preparatory program be included under the SGS program?

The Chinese language preparatory self-supporting program is an independent project and is not covered by the scholarship. Therefore, one should seek out a preparatory college independently to complete Chinese language studies and obtain the HSK Level 4 certificate (with a score of 180 or above) first.

Then, the applicant shall use the HSK Level 4 certificate to apply for the SGS scholarship program accordingly.
